Kodiak is our fierce matriarch. She is a rescue from the Humane society of the Ochechos and has been with us for nearly 10 years. She is probably a Mini Aussie-Blue heeler mix and is the bane of electricians and worker men everywhere.

Our guardian in training, Freyja is a 1 year old F1 Goldendoodle from the Goldens of the Rockies. She took to farming like a pro and keeps the coyotes and wind noises at bay.

Rusty was supposed to be a foster from Secondhand Pups out of Texas, but he took so long to decompress and adjust to farm life that we decided to keep him.  Also, Kodi loves him.  He’s the only one she allows to sleep on her bed, so he had to stay. At only a year old, he monitors the perimeter and the rodent situation and is learning about hawks.

Belle is a 15 year old BLM donkey who keeps the predators at bay with her partner and daughter, Alice. She isn’t a huge fan of strangers, but takes her job as guardian very seriously and calls the shots with the cows and boy goats. She tolerates the dogs with a fair bit of grace that they don’t always deserve.

Alice was born during Belle’s first year in civilization, so her sire was a wild Jack.  She is another Rusty fan.  She lets him clean her face and generally mess with her. She also loves kids, so if you stop by during open farm hours, be sure to bring treats!
